Inspiration from poems and the colour gold
Gold and poems do not immediately seem to have anything in common. For me, however, they are sources of inspiration from which I can get so much.
How can a colour be inspiration and why do I use gold so often? I am sometimes asked. Well….there are so many reasons. When the sun has come out, it feels warm, there are beautiful shades of yellow in the sky and sometimes a golden glow. It brings golden sparkles to your eyes.
It has a fine positive influence on your mood, making it easier to get back in touch with your own core, your golden essence. And if the sun is not shining, you can shine some light on the painting yourself and enjoy the golden sparkles in your own home.
And then poems. I like this poem at the moment. It can be read and interpreted in so many different ways. I love that about poems and storytelling. It’s like paintings. You can make up a whole world, dream about, bring it to life in any way you want. It can also be a source of encouragement or comfort.
This one I personally like to remember in turbulent times, personal or in the world. Hope by Emily Dickinson. I decided to transcribe the poem and make some flowers to go with it.
